Defending champions Quins II and KCB II will battle it out in the Eric Shirley Shield final on Saturday 23 February 2013 after emerging victorious in their semi final clashes on Saturday.
Quins II were too strong for Strathmore II, running off with the 33-5 result at the RFUEA Grounds that saw them register their twelve successive win of the season. Quins had topped the table at the close of the league phase while Strathmore finished fourth.
The other semi final KCB II edge out Impala II 19-15 at the KCB Sports Club. KCB were second at the close of the regular season, Impala finished third.
The final takes place on Saturday 23 February 2013 at the Moi International Sports Center, Kasarani.

Eldoret, Mombasa, Egerton and Kakamega II all booked their berths to the Nationwide league semi finals, effectively ensuring that no side from Nairobi will be in contention for the title come Saturday 23 February 2013 when the finals take place at the Moi International Sports Center in Kasarani.
Eldoret, winners of the Western zone edged out Technical University of Kenya 20-12 in a match played at the Eldoret Sports Club, Mombasa Sports Club were 49-10 winners over visiting Kisii RFC in Mombasa, Egerton registered a 36-19 win away to Masinde Muliro in Kakamega while Kakamega II edged out host USIU 27-22 at the USIU grounds in Nairobi.
Eldoret will now face Kakamega II while Mombasa will play against Egerton.

Leaders and defending champions Quins II stayed unbeaten and top of the Eric Shirley Shield with a hard fought 26-22 win over Strathmore II at the RFUEA Grounds on Saturday 26 January 2013. The result sees Quins II lead with 42 points, having won all nine of their matches to date.
Second placed KCB II fell 10 points behind after losing 12-24 away to Nakuru II at the Nakuru Athletic Club. KCB have 32 points off seven wins and two losses.
Mwamba II stayed third on the log after defeating Blak Blad II 20-5 at the Kenyatta University grounds.They have 30 points after winning six matches and losing three. Impala II were 46-5 winners away to Kisumu II, staying fourth on the log with 27 points from six wins and three losses. Strathmore are a point adrift in fifth, having won five and lost four of their matches to date.

Eldoret stayed top of the Nationwide League's Western Zone, edging out Masinde Muliro 24-17 on Saturday 26 January 2013. Eldoret, who have won seven and lost one of their eight outings have 34 points, eight more than second placed Kakamega II whose 26 points come off five wins and three losses.
Mombasa maintained their 100% record in the Nationwide's Eastern Zone, registering a 27-7 home win over second placed USIU in a top of the table clash played at the Mombasa Sports Club. The result sees the coastal side perched atop the standings with 32 points coming off seven wins and no losses. Despite the loss, USIU stayed second on the log with 29 points, having won six matches and lost two.
