Provisional Simbas squad begins preps for 2018 season

An initial provisional 18 man Simbas squad has began preparations for this year’s international calendar whose highlight is the Rugby Africa Gold Cup which serves as the African qualifiers for the 2019 Rugby World Cup in Japan.

This squad, which will be beefed up with more call ups in the coming days, is currently going through its paces under the current technical bench of backs coach Charles Ngovi,forwards coach Dominique Habimana, conditioning coach Richard Ochieng, physio Chris Makachia and Team Manager Simiyu Wangila.

The initial squad of 18 players are Oscar Simiyu (KCB), Philip Ikambili (Menengai Cream Homeboyz), Dennis Karani (Resolution Impala Saracens), Wilson Kopondo (SportPesa Quins), George Nyambua (Kabras Sugar), Elkeans Musonye (Strathmore Leos), Davis Chenge (KCB), Stephen Otieno (Menengai Cream Homeboyz), Samson Onsomu (Resolution  Impala Saracens), Nato Simiyu (Resolution Impala Saracens), Jacob Ojee (KCB), Leo Seje (Resolution Impala Saracens), Peter Kilonzo (KCB), Alex Olaba (SportPesa Quins), Darwin Mukidza (KCB), Curtis Lilako (KCB), Martin Owila (KCB), Michael Wanjala (KCB)
