Today’s Rugby Africa Gold Cup clash between hosts Zimbabwe and Kenya will kick off at 4.30pm East African Time (GMT+3) at the Hartsfield Ground in Bulawayo, Zimbabwe.  The two sides last faced off in Bulawayo thirteen years ago, Zimbabwe winning that game 24-15 on 24 July 2004.

This match will be aired live on Kwese Free Sports.

The Sables come into this tie sitting fourth on the log with five points off one win (28-16 away to Senegal) and a loss (26-31 away to Namibia) and will be looking to impress their home fans but have to contend with a Kenya side that sits second on the log with twelve points off two wins ( 100-10 against Tunisia, 45-25 against Senegal ) and a draw (33-33 against Uganda.)

It will be recalled that the Kenya Simbas ran off with a 61-15 win when the two sides met in last year’s action on 10 July 2017 in Harare and Zimbabwe will certain be out to cast out the memories of that defeat.

Overall the two teams have met 17 times, Zimbabwe winning 12 with Kenya claiming the other 5 wins.
