Oscar Ouma, Samuel Muregi and Erick Ombasa will link up with Shujaa on Tuesday ahead of the second leg of the 2017/18 HSBC Sevens World Series, the Cape Town Sevens taking place this weekend at the Cape Town Stadium.

The trio come in as cover for Dennis Ombachi (ankle) and Collins Injera (hamstring) who were ruled out of action on day one of the season opening Dubai Sevens where Shujaa finished seventh overall after losing 19-12 in the fifth place semifinal encounter against Australia.

They had earlier finished second in Pool A behind eventual tournament winners South Africa before  losing 14-12 to New Zealand in the cup quarterfinal.

Ouma, unavailable for the Dubai leg, is a seasoned campaigner on the world series. while 22 year old Muregi and 20 year old Ombasa who both play for the Menengai Oilers make their series debuts after impressive performances with their club side during the 2017 Kenya National Sevens Circuit.

Shujaa is in Pool A for the Cape Town Sevens with hosts South Africa, France and Russia.
