The Kenya Rugby Union confirms that, having received the requisite support and security assurances from the County Government of Kisumu through Governor Peter Anyang’ Nyong’o,the final round of the Naitonal Sevens Circuit, the Dala Sevens, will take place as planned at the Mamboleo Showground in Kisumu City on 21st/22nd October.

The Governor, in a communique to the Kenya Rugby Union, said, ” The County Government and people of Kisumu warmly welcome the teams and fans to our County and the City of Kisumu. We assure you of the County Government’s commitment to maintaining a conducive environment, in terms of security and facilities necessary for the sporting event and other socio-economic activities of the visiting teams and fans”

This year’s circuit has been one of the most competitive in years and with three teams still in contention for the overall title, it is fittingly set up for an exciting finish in a region long considered the home of Kenyan rugby talent.

In addition, the KRU will hold its Board meeting in Kisumu on Saturday 21 October 2017 as has been the norm and will use the opportunity to engage with affiliates and rugby stakeholders in the region.
