Kenya U20 Head Coach Paul Odera has hailed his charges after Wednesday’s 51-13 Barthes U20 South Trophy win over Madagascar at Namibia’s Hage Geingob Stadium.

Odera said,” Our plan on attack was to retain possession as much as possible and frustrate Madagascar. We took a while to develop consistency with this plan, but once the players trusted the system it worked. We had to adjust our plan at halftime and commit more players to the breakdown to secure our ball.”

“On defense we worked hard on keeping our shape as Madagascar were going to offload at every opportunity. They ran from every part of the field and boys kept their pattern through the game and worked hard in their mini units and units. A performance and result that the team should be proud of,” he added.

The result saw Chipu set up a final clash against hosts Namibia at the same venue on Saturday.
