Shujaa finished the Hamilton Sevens in sixth place , garnering 12 points to raise their season’s tally to 35 points and position eight after four rounds of the 2017/18 HSBC Sevens World Series.
They bowed out of the cup quarterfinals with a 33-12 loss to Australia before beating Scotland 33-19 in the fifth place semifinal. They would succumb to a 19-15 loss to Samoa in the fifth place final.
Fiji won the Hamilton leg with a 24-17 win over South Africa.
The team returns to the country on Tuesday morning.
