Women’s 15s action kicks off

The women’s fifteens rugby season kicked off on Sunday 6 May 2018 with two matches in the opening round of the Abedeen Shikhoyi franchise festival at the Impala Club.

The opening fixture saw Chui, an amalgamation of StanChart Impala, Menengai Cream Homeboyz  and Ruck-It,  post a 36-11 win over the Kifaru franchise which consists of Mwamba and Comras. Chui built on a 17-8 half time lead to eventually claim the result.

The day’s second fixture was a close contest between Tembo which is made up of Top Fry Nakuru and Shamas Rugby Foundation and Simba which features Northern Suburbs, USIU and Blad Babes. Tembo ran way with the 18-12 result.

Abedeen Shikhoyi franchise festival action continues with second round on Sunday 20 May 2018 at the Kenyatta University.
