Shujaa jetted home on Tuesday night after a fruitful outing at the North American legs of the 2017/18 HSBC Sevens World Series where they collected 29 points.

Innocent Simiyu’s charges collected 10 points at the USA Sevens in Las Vegas after reaching the cup quarterfinals before falling in the Canada Sevens cup final this past weekend,the 12-31 loss to Fiji seeing them collect 19 points as they  took their season’s tally to 64 and 8th on the log, surpassing last season’s overall tally of 63 points.

Simiyu, speaking at the Jomo Kenyatta International Airport, Nairobi on Tuesday night, said, ” With regards to our benchmarks, the boys did deliver. We’re quite proud of how they played…they played with a lot of pride and we’re quite happy.”
