Mwamba To Don Commemorative Kit During Sevens Circuit

Four time National Sevens Circuit champions Mwamba RFC will don a commemorative kit during this year’s  circuit which kicks off with the Driftwood Sevens in Mombasa on Saturday 2 September.

Club President Alvas Onguru, in a press statement, said, ” as we mark our 40th anniversary, this special commemorative jersey represents everything that the Mwamba Rugby Football Club has stood for since our founding in 1977; Pride, Pedigree, Respect and Honour. We hope that this jersey will stand as a reminder to our players, our fans and all our supporters, of where we have come from as a proud club of African origin- hence the symbolism of that most majestic of the Savannah’s animals and emblem of Kenya’s nationhood – But also, we hope that this special jersey points to the bold and ambitious future we envision for the club and for the Mwamba community. And, to our fans and supporters, we will shortly be releasing a limited number of replicas of this beautiful 40th anniversary jersey. So keep your eyes peeled.’

Samurai Sportswear Managing Director Terry Sands said, ‘we are delighted to reveal this new design for our exclusive One and Only ICONIX™ test jersey for Mwamba RFC.

It will be great to see the players really benefitting from wearing this jersey and it will certainly give them a performance advantage on the pitch. The design reflects the creativity of our in-house design team and we are looking forward to seeing it in action.
