On behalf of the entire rugby fraternity, the Kenya Rugby Union sends its condolences to the family and friends of the late Bernadette Olesia Chogo who passed away on Tuesday 15 August 2023.
Bernadette was a selfless, charismatic and talented individual who played her club rugby for Shamas Rugby Foundation, Boland Dames (South Africa) and Northern Suburbs Ladies.
She was a mainstay for the Kenya Women’s National Fifteens Team, the Lionesses and was expected to play a leading role at the upcoming World Rugby WX3 Tournament in Dubai.
Bernadette indeed touched the lives and imagination of all those she interacted with and will be dearly missed by all.
To her family, friends and team mates, may God grant you strength during this period of grief.
May the Almighty God also rest her soul in eternal peace.
