Returning Zambia look to excel in Nairobi

Zambia return to the Tusker Safari Sevens this weekend after a four year absence when they start their campaign against Kenya’s Shujaa in Pool C action at 11.10am EAT on Saturday 19 October at the RFUEA Ground.

They will then face South Africa’s Blue Bulls at 1.40pm EAT before completing their day one fixtures against Russia Academy at 3.50pm EAT.

The Zambians, one of Africa’s four representatives at the 2018 Commonwealth Games in Gold Coast,Australia will be keen to perform well in Nairobi as they fine tune their preparations for next month’s Rugby Africa Sevens in Johannesburg, South Africa which will also serve as the African round of qualifying for the 2020 Olympic Games in Tokyo, Japan.

The 12 man Zambian contingent to Nairobi includes Israel Kalumba, Vincent Nkole, Edward Mumba, Larry Kaushiku,Chisanga Nkoma, Sheleni Michelo, Martin Chisanga, Laston Mukosa, Carlos Kanyama, Melvin Banda, Roger Makupa and Mike Masapo.
