KCB reclaimed the Christie 7s with a 17-12 victory over defending champions Strathmore Leos in the cup final at the RFUEA Ground on Sunday 13 August 2023.

It was the Leos who went ahead through Gabriel Ayimba’s unconverted effort early in the opening half before Brian Wahinya’s evasive running saw him score and convert to give KCB the 7-5 lead before former Strathmore man Festus Shiasi landed a second try to give Andrew Amonde’s bankers a 12-5 lead at the break.

Vincent Onyala then scored after the interval to put the bankers 17-5 up.

Nigel Amaista struck late for Strathmore with Ayimba converting for a 17-12 score, too little too late as the full time whistle sounded, KCB reclaiming the title they last won in 2019.

Kabras Sugar claimed third place with a 19-12 victory over Nakuru as Mwamba defeated hosts Kenya Harlequin 14-7 to win the fifth place playoff.

Homeboyz claimed the Challenge Trophy title with a 21-12 win over the Catholic Monks as Kisumu won the 13th place final with 32-5 win over Sigalagala.
