The Office of the Sports Disputes Tribunal has ruled that the elections of the Kenya Rugby Union held on 22 March 2017 were proper and lawful and has directed the Sports Registrar to register the list of elected officials.

Part of the ruling made on 11 December 2017 reads, “The Tribunal therefore comes to the conclusion that the elections of the Kenya Rugby Union held on 22nd March 2017 presided over by the representatives of the KNSC were proper and lawful and the Respondent is hereby directed to register the list of elected officials of the Kenya Rugby Union as indicated in the Union’s letter of 23rd March 2017, subject to the requirements set out under Part VI of the Act.”

The Tribunal will deliberate this matter on 31 January 2018 to confirm compliance with the order and for such further directions as may be necessary.
