Mwamba beat Nondies to bag second Kenya Cup win

 

Match Day nine saw Mwamba bag their second win or the season.
Hosting the Red Lions at Railways Club, Mwamba were quick on their feet landing two tries in the first ten minutes. Greg Odhiambo passed the ball wide to Humphrey Tall Kayange to score but he would pass it on to Daniel Taabu who landed the hosts first Try. Taabu added the extras.

Tall landed his first try for Kulabu minutes after he broke the Nondies defense. Taabu missed the conversion. Scores now read 12-0.A poor Kulabu kick in Mwamba’s five saw Nondies dive for a try with Biko Adema converting. A loose ball off a Mwamba line out saw Tall pick it and land a brace, Taabu once again missing the extras. The hosts landed their fourth try as Scrum half Mutuku passed to Lavin whose switch pass saw Kayange land his third try for Mwamba. Mwamba leading 24 -7 at the breather.

Second half Kulabu landed four tries and we’re awarded a penalty try after a high tackle while Nondies managed to score one try.
Daniel Taabu landed his brace with the conversion sailing wide. A penalty Try was awarded to Mwamba following a high tackle. Brad Owako and Greg Odhiambo made their mark in the try box with Lavin converting one of the two tries. Nondies also made their mark in the second half with their second and final try of the game. Conversion sailed wide.
To crown off a good match day for Mwamba, Horace Alila dotted down his try with the conversion sailing wide.
Mwamba sure with their second win as they beat Nondies 53 -12.
