The Kenya Rugby Union is proud to welcome Kenya Electricity Generating Company PLC (KenGen) on board as one of the sponsors of our National Women’s 7s team, the Kenya Lionesses, for the HSBC Challenger Series legs in Poland and Los Angeles (LA).
They have brought with them a sponsorship worth 2.5Million that will go directly into the Kenya Lionesses requirements. “This partnership is a powerful show of support for women in sports and a major boost for the Lionesses as they fly Kenya’s flag high on the global Stage.” noted Harriet Okatch, KRU Director in Charge of Marketing and Commercial. The KenGen logo has been placed at the back of the Kenya Lionesses jersey
The Lionesses will kick off their HSBC LA7s campaign on Saturday at 10:12pm against Spain, later that night at 1:35am they will play Brazil before wrapping up their Pool action on Sunday evening at 8:44am against Colombia.
