As the 2025 SportPesa National Sevens Circuit gathers pace, all roads now lead to Nakuru for the much anticipated second leg ,the Prinsloo 7s . Set to take place on the 2nd and 3rd of August at the iconic Nakuru Athletics Club.

Among the highlights of this leg will be the Division Two competition, which continues to offer a platform for emerging and regional sides to showcase their prowess. The tournament will feature 20 teams, structured into five pools of four teams each.

Pooling for Division Two was guided by specific selection criteria aimed at ensuring diversity and competitive balance. Affiliate clubs were allocated four slots, regional-based clubs received six, performance-based clubs earned six spots, and four additional slots were reserved for invitational teams.

Following this structure, the pools for Division Two are as follows:

  • Pool A: KU Blak Blad, Molo RFC, NYS Spades

  • Pool B: Embu RFC, Project 61 TENP, Makueni RFC, Northern Suburbs

  • Pool C: AP Warriors, Nnadi Bears, Mean Machine, Kisii Polytechnic

  • Pool D: Homeboyz RFC, Eldoret RFC, MKU Thika, Kenya Prisons

  • Pool E: Kabarak University, Egerton Wasps, Jackals, KCA University

The ladies’ category at the Prinsloo 7s is shaping up to be a thrilling affair, with eight teams set to battle it out for supremacy. The teams have been seeded into two pools of four using the snake seeding format, based on last season’s performance.

The pools are as follows:

  • Pool A: Impala, Harlequins, Meru Ladies

  • Pool B: Mwamba, Northern Suburbs, NYS Ladies, Nakuru
