On 3rd August at the Nakuru Athletic Club, Mwamba Ladies were crowned champions after beating Kenya Harlequin 15-05 in a thrilling final.

Kenya Lionesses stars Edith Nariaka (Mwamba) and Moreen Muritu (Kenya Harlequin) landed a try each in the first half to bring the scores at half time to 5-5. Both sides displayed incredible rugby talent in the second half, but eventually, it was the Mwamba ladies who emerged victorious as Nariaka went on to score two more unconverted tries, for a 15-05 full-time score.

Edith had a perfect outing as she was named the player of the final, the top try and top point scorer for the #Prinsloo7s. Her player of the final performance was rewarded by Sportpesa with a cash prize of  KES 10,000/-, while the entire team received a cash prize of KES 70,000/- from Sportpesa.

The Kenya Harlequin Ladies walked away with the runner’s up cash prize from Sportpesa worth KES 30,000/-.

On their way to the final, Kenya Harlequin beat Northern Suburbs 17-12 in the first semifinal while Mwamba saw off Impala 14-00. Below are the results from the ladies matches:
