Morans Crowned Zambezi 7s Champions
Morans have been crowned the 2025 Zambezi 7s Champions after an outstanding performance that saw them defeat hosts Cheetahs 14-0 in the final.
The final proved to be a tight contest in the first half, with both sides unable to break the deadlock. However, the Morans came alive in the second half, with Floyd Wabwire crossing the line twice. Both tries were successfully converted by Rayvone Ambale, sealing the victory and the championship title.
The Morans delivered a flawless campaign, winning all their matches and keeping a clean sheet throughout the tournament, no opponent managed to score against them.
Their journey to the title began with a 41-0 win over Old Hararians in their opening pool match, followed by a 36-0 win against Pitbull RFC to close day one on a high. They maintained their dominance on Day two, beating Old Miltonians 48-0 in the quarterfinal before recording the tournament’s highest score with a commanding 61-0 victory over Old Georgians in the semifinals.
