Shujaa exited the Dubai 7s after a 17-21 defeat to Fiji in the 9th place semifinal at The Sevens Stadium on Saturday 3 December 2022.
The team went into the interval leading 17-7 through tries from Kevin Wekesa, Dennis Abukuse and Nelson with Tony Omondi adding a conversion.
The Fijians, who had scored a solitary converted try in the first half through Jeremaia Matana before converted tries in the second half from Waisea Nacuqu and Pilipo Bukayaro sealed the result for the Fijians.
