The Lionesses registered a 24-0 win over neighbours Uganda in the second Women Sevens Series Qualifiers’ Pool B match.

Captain Philadelphia Olando was first on the scoreboard as she dotted down giving Lionesses the first five points of the match, Grace Adhiambo’s conversion went wide. After the restart, the ladies sent the ball wide to find winger Janet “Shebesh” Okello who swung past her defenders to score Kenya’s second try: Adhiambo adding the twos for a 12-0 lead.

Splitting Uganda’s defense, Sinaida Aura raced down the pitch but was tackled at the opponents 5m mark, despite Uganda’s stiff defense, the Lionesses managed to break through it and land their third try through Adhiambo and she added the conversion.

Adhiambo, who before being substituted, scored the Lionesses four try at the corner after spotting and taking the gap between her defense line. The conversion sailed wide for the score to remain at 24-0 at full time.
