The Kenya Lionesses 15s Head Coach Simon Odongo together with his management has made some changes in the squad facing South Africa tomorrow at the Stade Makis, Antananarivo Madagascar at 1:00pm EAT. Naomi Jelagat starts in the lock position replacing Phoebe Akinyi who sustained a concussion on Saturday while facing Madagascar. Other than this change, the starting forwards remain unchanged.
The management has made two positional changes in the backline as mercurial Grace Okulu moves to the outside center while Moreen Muritu will be the starting flyhalf. Faith Livoi will be the starting inside center with the experienced Stella Wafula moving to the blindside wing.
“Mitchell Akinyi joins as the utility forward in place of Jelagat who starts and Angel Charity Juma also replaces Diana Awino as the utility back. Our aim is to ensure that at least each traveling member gets some game time because they worked hard to be part of this squad,” said Simon.
The Lionesses secured their first win against Madagscar beating them 28-5.
