The Kenya Lionesses took part in a safeguarding and gender sensitization workshop held at the RFUEA Grounds, bringing together all national team players.

The session was led by Diana Watila, CEO of the Office of Gender Protection and Implementation Secretariat from the Ministry of Youth Affairs, Creative Economy and Sports – State Department for Sports.

The workshop aimed at equipping the players with vital knowledge on safeguarding, gender awareness, and protection measures within sport. By engaging the Lionesses in discussions and training, the initiative emphasized creating a safe and inclusive environment that supports the well-being and empowerment of women in rugby.

This effort reflects a wider commitment by the Ministry and the Kenya Rugby Union to foster a culture of respect, equality, and safety both on and off the field.
