Kenya Simbas head Coach Paul Odera has named his 23-man squad that will take on Valke on Saturday afternoon in the Currie Cup. There’s a perfect blend of young players and experienced ones in the starting lineup.

The match will be played at the Bosman Stadium, Brakpan kicking off at 4:00 pm EAT.

Oliver Mang’eni and Colman Were are some of the notable players who have made their return to the Simbas squad after a 4-year hiatus. Were is joined by Ian Njenga and Ephraim Bwire in the front row, Mang’eni pairs up with Brian Juma in the second row while the back row comprises of George Nyambua, Daniel Sikuta and Elkeans Musonye.

The Kabras duo of Brian Tanga and Jone Kubu will work as the link between the forwards and the backs, Tanga starting as the scrumhalf with Kubu as his fly half.

The Simbas centers are Menengai Oilers John Okoth and KCB’s Vincent Onyala while Derrick Ashihundu, Jacob Ojee and Darwin Mukidza complete the starting 15 as the back three.

The reserves are: Brian Waraba, Edward Mwaura, Patrick Ouko, Shem Joseph, Brian Amaitsa, Samuel Asati, Geoffrey Ominde and Timothy Omela.
