Makueni returned to the National Sevens Circuit top tier for the third time this season after posting a 17-12 win over Webuye in the Christie Sevens division two cup final at the RFUEA Ground on Sunday 15 October 2017.

The Paul Mutavi coached side will now play in the division one competition at this weekend’s season ending Dala Sevens. They reached the semifinal with a 12-0 win over Catholic Monks while Webuye stopped Comras 26-12 in the second semifinal
