After three pulsating legs of the 2025 National Sevens Circuit : Driftwood 7s in Mombasa, Prinsloo 7s in Nakuru, and now the Christie 7s in Nairobi , the competition for the overall crown is heating up.
KCB Rugby have seized control of the standings after clinching the Christie Sevens title, their second circuit win in three outings. The bankers’ consistency has placed them firmly at the summit with a commanding lead, underlining their intent to reclaim sevens dominance.Strathmore Leos, who had opened the season brightly with back-to-back finals appearances and a Prinsloo title, had to settle for third place at Christie. They remain in second position overall with 58 points, keeping them well within striking distance.
Menengai Oilers continue to show resilience and sit third on 47 points after a strong run to the Christie final. Defending champions Kenya Harlequin have started to find some rhythm, moving up to fourth with 39 points.Kabras Sugar, despite their early-season spark with a third-place finish in Mombasa, are still struggling for consistency. They sit tied in fifth on 35 points alongside Catholic Monks, who have been one of the surprise packages of the season. Nakuru RFC, once riding high in third after Prinsloo, have dropped significantly to seventh with 33 points.
In the lower half of the table, Stallions remain in 14th position with 9 points, just one shy of Zetech University at 13th on 10 points. MSC Rugby and KU Blak Blad occupy the bottom places, each with 5 points.
