Chipu kicked off their two-day camp on 31st March 2019 ahead of the Barthes Cup that takes place on the 4th and 7th of April.

Earlier this month, Head Coach Paul Odera had a 36 man-squad that he was working with but heading closer to the tournament, the squad has been reduced to 30 players.

“We’ve had to push ourselves as a management so as to keep the players interested baring in mind that a good number of them played in the Kenya Cup and ESS leagues yesterday(Saturday 30th March). Our Medical team has been very key in letting us know that if we push the players too hard today and tomorrow, then they will not be fresh on Thursday since they need at least 48 hours to fully recover,” said Odera.

“What is important to us now is getting our formations right and our systems going both in attack and defense.”

The team will have their final sessions tomorrow at the RFUEA Grounds after which the management will deliberate and settle on the final squad of 25.

Kenya plays Tunisia on Thursday 4th April at 3:30pm at the KCB Sports Club Ruaraka. Entrance is 300/-
