The Kenya Rugby Union will fete Kakamega High School and Laiser Hill Academy as part of the legacy activities planned for Saturday 27 May during the Tatu City Series whose highlight will be a clash between Kenya and Germany at 4.00pm on the day. The two sides, powerhouses in schools rugby, will be rewarded for their contributions to the growth and development of the game in the country.

The two sides recently duelled in the final of the Kenya Secondary Schools Sports Association National Fifteens Championship, the “Barbarians” from Kakamega winning 18-14 to lift their seventh overall crown. Laiser Hill are immediate former champions in the longer version of the game.

Both sides have over the years produced notable alumni such as Paul Murunga Amunavi, Emmanuel Shitote,Dan Weku, Brian Nyikuli, Fabian Olando, Kelvin Masai,Steve Anthony to name but a few, all of whom have gone on to don national team colors at various representative levels.
