Oscar Ouma looks back on Shujaa’s  performances at the North American legs of the 2017/18 HSBC Sevens World Series where the team built on a cup quarterfinal appearance at the USA Sevens in Las Vegas to reach the cup final at the Canada Sevens, falling to a 12-31 defeat to Fiji at the BC Place in Vancouver on Sunday 11 March 2018.

Ouma captained the team in North America and also scored the try that saw the team beat USA 24-19 to reach the Canada Sevens final in addition to makin the team of the tournament alongside team mate Collins Injera.
