The Kenya squad to play Zambia in their crunch Rugby Africa Cup Pool B clash at the Nyayo National Stadium on Sunday 11 July 2021 has been named

There are six changess to the Simbas squad that started last weekend’s 20-19 loss to Senegal at the same venue. Ian Njenga, debutante Eugene Sifuna, Emmanuel Silungi, George Nyambua, Dominic Coulson and Samuel Asati are included in the starting fifteen while Griffin Musila, Andrew Siminyu, Bryceson Adaka and Thomas Okeyo start from the bench. Stephen Sakari and John Okoth do not make the match day 23 through injury.

There are also positional changes for the Simbas with Jone Kubu starting at flyhalf, swapping places with Charles Kuka who is moved to fullback as Samuel Asati, whose first two caps for Kenya have come from the scrum position will start this clash at outside center. Davis Chenge who started last weekend’s game in the second row is deployed to the blindside while Joshua Chisanga reverts to the number eight slot.

Kenya must defeat Zambia to finish second in the pool and qualify for the 2022 Rugby Africa Cup which serves as the RWC 2023 African qualifying tournament.
