The Kenya Lionesses kicked off their preparation for the oncoming duty in Dubai on Monday 1st October at the RFUEA Grounds. The ladies have been in off-season since April when they  participated in the 2018 Commonwealth games in Australia where they finished sixth.

Head Coach, Kevin Wambua has been scouting for new stars to join his team during the KRU Women’s League and he has added eight new players, four of whom are still in high school. This adds on to the squad’s young talent. The Lionesses first duty will be in Dubai, end of this November during the Invitational International Women’s Tournament.

Janet Owino(Homeboyz) who fractured her ankle during the World Sevens Series Qualifiers in Hong Kong is set to start her rehab as the team embarks on training.
