The rugby sevens tournament at the 13th All Africa Games kicks off on Tuesday 19th March at the University of Accra. There have been some changes from the initial schedule released a few weeks ago.
The tournament will now be played in a round-robin format across three days: Tuesday, Wednesday, and Thursday after which the highest-ranked team will be crowned champions. The match point system for this tournament is as below:
Win = 3 points
Bonus points for a loss of 7 points or less in the match score= 1 point
Loss with 8 points or more in the match score = 0 points
No show = 0 points
Note that there will be no drawn matches, any drawn matches will go to golden point extra-time.
