World Rugby and the international rugby family condemns discrimination of any kind, including racism, which has no place in our sport or wider society.

We are unified in support of our players, coaches, match officials and fans in taking a positive stand and speaking out against racism in society and sport.

Rugby is a sport for all with a spirit of inclusivity, unity and diversity at its heart. Everyone has a role. Everyone has a voice and everyone has a right to be equals off the rugby field as they are on it.

Our core values of passion, solidarity, integrity, discipline and respect are fundamental to our sport, and why we play, coach, officiate, administer and support the game globally.

In partnership with our unions and the International Rugby Players, we know we must continue to play a leading role in positive, meaningful action to eliminate any form of racial discrimination.

We will listen to all members of our community, and work closely with International Rugby Players, unions and other bodies to better understand the challenges faced by everyone in the game and take appropriate steps to drive continued positive change in our sport.

A key element of our forthcoming governance review and strategic plan development will be to broaden the reach and appeal of the sport and ensure that future decision-making structures further reflect the universality of the sport and the communities that we serve.

We are all equals on and off the rugby field.
