Having wrapped up their Singapore 7s tournament in the thirteenth position after a 21-5 win over Spain, Shujaa has been Pool alongside the Singapore 7s runners up Fiji, Samoa and France in Pool B of the 2019 #London7s.

This is the penultimate round of the 2018/2019 HSBC World Sevens Series and it’s scheduled for the 25th and 26th of May before teams head to Paris for the last round of the series.

Shujaa has picked up three points from the Singapore 7s, bringing their total tally to 26 points, one above 14th placed Wales and four above 15th placed Japan.

Daniel Taabu’s exemplary performance this weekend sees him 5th on the Singapore7s DHL Impact Player list with four tackles and offloads, eight line breaks and 28 carries. 

He was also Shujaa’s top point scorer this weekend with 57 points coming from seven tries and eleven conversions. He is followed by Bush Mwale with 15 points while Jeff Okwacha and Vincent Onyala have ten points each. After the eight legs, Taabu is top of the Kenyan table with a total of 155 points, Onyala is second with 97 points while Johnstone Olindi completes the top three with 79 points. This is the first HSBC Series season for the three gentlemen.
