The Strathmore Leos sealed their Embu 7s outing with a confident 31-21 victory over the KCB Lions at the ASK Njukiri Showgrounds on 24th August 2025. Barely a minute into the match, Strathmore’s Nygel Amaitsa sliced through the Lions’ defense like a hot knife through butter to land their first converted try.

Immediately after the restart, Strathmore had a quick turnover in KCB’s 5M line, quickly sent the ball wide to find a fast-paced Victor Mola, who landed a skillfully converted corner post try, extending Strathmore’s lead to 12-0. However, they were not done as of their next restart, Leos pounced on a loose ball, and Staslaus Shikoli landed their third try.

The Willis Ojal charges were not done with clearly indicating their intentions in this final, Barnabus Owuor went over the whitewash and Arnold Muita added the extras. With seconds left on the clock, KCB seemed to bounce back into the game as they landed a converted try to bring the half-time scores to 07-24 in favour of Strathmore.

Second half KCB narrowed the gap as Floyd Wabwire fended off his defender to land a converted centerpost try before adding his third converted try. With a few minutes on the clock, fans were all on their feet awaiting the outcome but Strathmore Leos were more determined as Samuel Wafula cut through the defenders to land a converted try securing their 31-21 victory.
