The Simbas arrived in Windhoek, Namibia late Monday evening in high spirits ahead of Saturday’s Rugby Africa Gold Cup decider against hosts Namibia at the Hage Geingob Stadium.

Forwards Coach Dominique Habimana, speaking after the team’s first training session on Tuesday afternoon said, “We arrived safe and sound from Zimbabwe, and have just had our first pitch session today (Tuesday)…that’s going on well. The mood in the camp is positive..upbeat.”
 
“We are well aware that Namibia are the clear favorites for this competition but we are working hard to put up a good show,” he added.

 
Namibia lead the championship log with 20 points off 4 bonus point wins while Kenya lie second with 16 points off 3 wins and a draw.

 
The last time the two sides met was on Saturday 15 July 2016, the Namibians building on a 42-7 lead at the break to take home the 56-21 result en route to  winning last year’s competition.
