The Kenya Rugby Union (KRU) has received KSh. 3.388 million being allowances for the Kenya Under 20 team (Chipu). The team is currently in Brazil for the World Rugby Under 20 Trophy.

The KRU Board is highly grateful to the Ministry of Sports, Culture and Heritage, Cabinet Secretary Amb. Amina Mohammed and her team led by the Principal Secretary Amb. Kirimi Kaberia. It is a timely reminder that the government supports the team’s great efforts.

KRU appreciates the timely support towards Chipu and looks forward to further collaboration with the government in supporting the various teams flying Kenya’s flag at the World stage

Chipu meets Brazil this Sunday at 1.00am in their second Pool A fixture.

    The boys will feel Rugby is a lucrative sport.
    This should motivate the boys to put a good show against Brazil.
