Shujaa have started the Dubai 7s with a 19-19 draw against Australia.

They were quick off the blocks, pinning the Aussies to their half and got their opening try after a patient build up that saw Herman Humwa touch down. Tony Omondi converted for a 7-0 lead.

They continued to dominate the Aussies, landing a second through Billy Odhiambo, Omondi converting for a 14-0 lead before the series leaders and defending champions scored and converted for a 14-7 score at the break.

A second Aussie try and conversion brought them to 14-14 before Willy Ambaka burst down the left flank for Shujaa’s third try as they led 19-14.

A third Australian try leveled the game at 19-19.
