Shujaa missed out on cup quarterfinal qualification at the France 7s with a 31-5 Pool A loss to New Zealand in Toulouse on Friday evening.
Che Clarke’s try and Akulia Rokolisoa’s conversion saw New Zealand go 7-0 up before Regan Ware touched down, Rokolisoa converting for a 14-0 score.
Roderick Solo scored an unconverted try to give the New Zealanders a 19-0 lead at the interval.
Two second half tries from Solo and Moses Leo peppered with a Tepaea Savage conversion took New Zealand 31-0 up.
Denis Abukuse got a consolation try for Kenya, gathering his own kick to score the only try of the match for the red shirts.
Shujaa will play their final pool fixture at 1.21pm on Saturday afternoon.
