After the completion of the first two legs of the 2025 National Sevens Circuit — Driftwood 7s in Mombasa and Prinsloo 7s in Nakuru — the competition is shaping up to be a thrilling battle for supremacy.

KCB and Strathmore Leos have emerged as the early frontrunners, both tied at the top of the standings with 41 points each. The two sides have featured in both finals so far, with KCB lifting the Driftwood title and Strathmore responding with victory at Prinsloo.

Rift Valley sides Menengai Oilers and Nakuru RFC follow closely behind, each with 28 points, having delivered consistent performances in both legs. Kabras Sugar sits fifth with 27 points, while Catholic Monks continue to impress with a solid sixth-place standing on 25 points.

National Sevens Circuit defending champions,Kenya Harlequin have struggled to find their footing this season, managing just 24 points and failing to reach a single semi-final in the opening two rounds — a far cry from their title-winning form last year.

With the focus now shifting to the Christie 7s, the race for the overall title remains wide open and fiercely competitive.
