SEMI-FINAL LINE-UP CONFIRMED AS WOMEN’S LEAGUE HEADS INTO DECISIVE STAGE
The race for the women’s league title has reached its penultimate stage, with Mwamba Women, Impala, Quins Queens, and Northern Suburbs securing their places in the semi-finals after an intense and competitive regular season.
Mwamba Women will face off against their long-time rivals, Impala, in Semi-Final 1. Mwamba head into the clash as the form team of the season, having gone unbeaten throughout the campaign. Their dominance has seen them emerge as strong title contenders.
Impala, on the other hand, have had a mixed season. Their campaign has been marked by setbacks, including losses to Mwamba and Quins Queens, as well as a forfeited walkover. Despite this, they have earned a spot in the final four, setting up a high-stakes encounter against a familiar foe.
Semi-Final 2 will see Quins Queens take on Northern Suburbs in what is expected to be another closely contested fixture. Quins Queens have enjoyed a strong season, with their only defeat coming at the hands of the unbeaten Mwamba Women.
Northern Suburbs, meanwhile, have battled their way into the semi-finals despite facing tough opposition throughout the season. They have registered losses against Mwamba Women, Quins Queens, and Impala.
Semi-Final 1 between Mwamba Women and Impala will be hosted at the Goan Institute, while Semi-Final 2 featuring Quins Queens and Northern Suburbs will take place at the RFUEA Grounds. Both fixtures are expected to draw significant attention as teams vie for a coveted spot in the final.
The final is scheduled for 2nd May, where the two winning teams will battle it out for top honors in what has been a highly competitive season.
