Dramatic second half collapse ends Shujaa’s World Cup ambitions

A dramatic second half collapse saw Shujaa throw away a 26-0 lead, crashing out of Rugby World Cup Sevens contention with a 31-26 round of 16 loss to Scotland.

They had gone ahead through tries from Collins Injera, Nelson Oyoo, William Ambak and Jeff Oluoch, a quarterfinal date looking secure but the Scots kept pushing to eventually claim the improbable result.

Shujaa had earlier overcome a stubborn Tonga side 19-7,Nelson Oyoo with a brace before Collins Injera made the game safe with a final try.
