The Kenya Cup fixtures between Nondescripts and Strathmore Leos, and Menengai Oilers versus Resolution Impala Saracens due to be played this afternoon, have been postponed.
The decision to postpone the fixtures has been taken as a precaution following confirmation of 12 positive COVID-19 cases in some of the teams during the latest round of testing. With the health of players and technical staff as the priority, it was felt in the best interest of everyone to postpone the matches as we assess the situation.
The positive players are not displaying any symptoms and have been advised on how to manage their recovery. The Kenya Rugby Union wishes them speedy recovery.
The Kenya Rugby Union continues to have full confidence in our COVID-19 protocols and being able to continue to play our other fixtures as scheduled.
We will rearrange the postponed fixtures in due course.
