Kenya Simbas completed their double over Zambia on Saturday 24th August afternoon beating them 31-16 at the RFUEA Grounds.

Four minutes into the match, an infringement by Zambia handed The Simbas an opportunity to open up the scores to a 3-0 lead as Isaac Njoroge split the posts with the Simbas first three points.

Captain Curtis Lilako lead his team in style as he bulldozed his way over the whitewash landing the Simbas first try with Njoroge adding the extras for a 10-0 Simbas lead.

Zambia’s Laston Mukosa’s boot was on its best form from the onset when he kicked in the first three points for the guests narrowing the gap to 10-3 off a Kenyan infringement. Mukosa’s penalty kick was sandwiched by Lilako’s and Vice Captain Elkeans Musonye’s tries in the first half of the match for a 15-3 Simbas lead after Njoroge’s second conversion drifted wide.

In the last fourteen minutes of the match, the guests landed a ten points coming off a penalty kick and their eye for a loose Kenyan ball  and great hands giving them their only try in the encounter as Edward Mumba cut through the weak defense line for the try for a 15-13 Simbas lead after a successful conversion by Laston. Another infringement by the Zambian’s saw Isaac Njoroge slice the posts with a penalty for a 18-13 half time score.

The second half, Oscar Simiyu and Brian Amaitsa landed a try each for the hosts with both conversions drifting wide while Zambia drilled in one 40M penalty off Laston’s boot for a 31-16 full time score in favour of the Simbas.
