The 2019 Stanbic Bank National Sevens Circuit heads to Meru Town for the second leg of the Circuit, the 2019 Kabeberi7s tournament that will be held at the Kinoru Stadium on the 27th and 28th of July.

“It’s going to be big, exciting and memorable. We, as Stanbic Mwamba, are lucky to have Meru agree to host this historic tournament. On the other hand, Meru residents should look to forward to an exciting weekend as top rugby stars converge in the town to battle for the honours,” said the Tournament Director, Humphrey Kayange in a statement to Mwambarugby.com

Kabeberi Sevens will feature 40 teams over a period of three days. We will have 16 teams in Division One and 24 teams in Division Two.

The Kakamega7s winners KCB headline Pool A and are joined by Resolution Impala Saracens, Menengai Oilers who lifted the Kakamega7s Challenge Trophy and the invitational side Meru RFC. Runners up Menengai Cream Homeboyz are grouped together with Masinde Muliro University, Mean Machine and the Stanbic Bank sponsored Stanbic Pirates Uganda.

Hosts Stanbic Mwamba, Nondescripts, Egerton Wasps and Kenya Harlequins complete the Kabeberi7s Pool C with Top Fry Nakuru, Strathmore Leos, Kabras Sugar RFC and the Kakamega7s Division Two Winners Northern Suburbs make up Pool D.

The matches will kick off at exactly 9:00am.
