Shujaa climb to 12th after Sydney 7s

Shujaa closed out the Sydney 7s in 11^th place after exiting the tournament with a 26-24 defeat to Tonga in the 9^th place semifinal.

Brian Tanga and Alvin Otieno each scored a brace for Shujaa with Tanga adding two conversions.

The team had earlier defeated Spain 17-12 in match that saw Herman Humwa, Anthony Omondi and Denis Abukuse with Omondi adding a conversion.

Following the latest rounds of action in Hamilton and Sydney, Shujaa has moved up two places to 12^th on the World Rugby Sevens Series log with 21 points, three short of Uruguay who are currently placed 11^th.
