Shujaa finished the Canada 7s in 10th place after losing the 9th place final, going down 35-17 to Samoa.
Billy Odhiambo, Brian Tanga and Denis Abukuse were Shujaa’s try scorers with Daniel Taabu adding a conversion.
They had earlier defeated South Africa 17-12 in the 9th place quarterfinal before stopping Spain 24-14 in the 9th place semifinal.
The result saw the side collect 10 points to remain 13th on the World Rugby Sevens Series standings with 29 points heading into the next rounds of the series in Hong Kong and Singapore.
