Inside Kenya Rugby
About Us
Kenya Rugby Union is the governing body for rugby in Kenya, committed to growing the game from grassroots to elite performance.
Who We Are
Kenya Rugby Union (KRU) is the national governing body responsible for the development, administration, and promotion of rugby in Kenya. We work with clubs, schools, counties, players, coaches, referees, and partners to grow a strong, inclusive, and sustainable rugby ecosystem across the country.
Our Role
KRU provides leadership and structure for the game at all levels. Our role includes setting standards, coordinating competitions, supporting pathways for talent, strengthening governance, and representing Kenyan rugby locally and internationally. We are committed to creating an environment where rugby can thrive both on and off the field.
Our Commitment
We are committed to integrity, fairness, and excellence in everything we do. Through collaboration and innovation, we aim to expand access to rugby, improve high-performance outcomes, and ensure the sport remains a source of pride, unity, and opportunity for communities across Kenya.
Building the Future
From youth development and women's rugby to elite national teams and club competitions, we are focused on long-term growth. Our ambition is to build a rugby system that is competitive, professional, and people centred; one that inspires the next generation and strengthens Kenya's place in world rugby.
