The Age Grade and Development Department of the Kenya Rugby Union plays a vital role in nurturing and growing rugby talent across the country by focusing on grassroots development, youth programmes, and school rugby initiatives. Through coaching clinics, competitions, training workshops, and outreach programmes, the department works to introduce and expand the game in schools and communities across the nation while creating structured pathways for young players, coaches, and match officials. Its mission is to promote inclusivity, develop future rugby stars, and ensure the continuous growth of rugby in every region of Kenya.
