The  U20 national team, Chipu will face Zimbabwe in a Rugby Africa U20 South semifinal clash on 28 March 2017 as Rugby Africa released its complete 2018 schedule. The winner of this match will duel the winner of the Namibia-Madagascar semifinal also taking place the same day.

Both matches will be played at the Hage Geingob Stadium in Windhoek, Namibia with the  winner of the South zone dueling the winner of the North Zone competition at a later date for the overall title and the opportunity to represent Africa at the 2018 World Rugby Under 20 Trophy.

Meanwhile,a 35 man Chipu squad heads to Gilgil for their second residential camp which runs from 15th to 17th December. The squad which has some notable inclusions such as Harold Anduvate, Monate Akuei ,Jeff Mutuku, Toby Francombe, Lawrence Ishuga who is also cutting his teeth in the officiating circles as well as the Brighetti siblings Masimillano and Michele whose father, Marco, featured on the wing for then Kenya Cup champions Nondescripts close to two and a half decades ago.
